Guys, I cannot get over how much I love this floral print crop top and matching skirt! One of the best ways to rock summer fashion is to pull off the crop top and skirt. This outfit is especially amazing because it combines that look with a floral print!

Here’s to celebrating warm summer days!

Styled by Jill Watson. Cropped top and skirt from Nordstrom by Whitney Eve.

Once again, Dear Creatures pulls together the dreamiest of summer looks! How can you go wrong with lemon prints and this yellow and pink combination? This is definitely a favorite in the closet this season. The thick v-neck yellow straps along the front create a slimming, elegant style. Plus, you can’t really ever go wrong with a vintage inspired look!

This dress is the perfect look for a casual party but elegant enough to throw on for a summer wedding.

Cheers!

It’s FRIDAY!

One of the best ways to embrace summer fashion is to create a play on patterns! I love the way stylist Jill Watson embraced the patterns in this outfit. The mixture of prints with stripes is such an easy way to pattern play. Most people already have some stripes in their closet. Grab a striped shirt or skirt and pair it with a pattern scarf to give you a similar effect. Plus, how cute are the pineapples on this top?!

This was absolutely one of the most fun photo shoots with so much GIRLY-NESS! Here’s to a weekend filled with sunshine. Go and create your own pattern play!

The Archibald Project: Romania Trip

Hi friends!

As some of you know the last few months have been full of change for me! Before I left my job with The For The City Network, I have been challenging myself to grow in my creative gifts. Through the launch of this website last November, I have been able share my love of photography through travel, fashion and lifestyle photography. As I’ve been transitioning my career path, I’ve met with several photographers encouraging me to pursue this gift.

In a recent meeting, I met with a photographer who shared with me more about The Archibald Project. The Archibald Project is an orphan care media organization, and tells stories that promote adoption, foster care, volunteer opportunities, sponsorships and resettlement. Through their stories, fewer children will be called orphans.

If you know me well, you know that photography has been a big part of my life for a few years and I have been trying to grow in these skills over the last year. I am passionate about using that gift to share stories and long to serve the fatherless with my art! The Archibald Project has created a way for artists all over the world to use their art to serve orphans.

In August, I will be leaving for Romania with my camera to serve on an Archibald Project Media Mission. We will spend the next week loving on and serving the children and staff of NOROC in Tulcea, Romania. My mission will be to create a story about some of the children I meet and let the world know that not only do they exist, but they matter and need families and people caring for them. The Archibald Project has documented several adoptions and worked with several orphanages to help inspire others to get involved in orphan care. Through these Media Mission trips, we are able to inspire others to pursue that involvement! This is why I want to go; I want to use my art to help promote awareness and inspire orphan care in my community.

I can’t wait to share photos and stories with you from this trip! If you’d like to be involved in supporting my trip to Romania, email me at julia.latcham@gmail.com. Stay connected with The Archibald Project here on Facebook and Instagram!
